Supply List

  • White soap base
  • Soap dye
  • Soap fragrance of your choice

  • 3-D heart mold
  • Double boiler or microwave
  • Knife
  • Freezer
  • Several rubberbands

  1. Follow the melting instructions for basic pour and melt soap to melt your soap base.
  2. Add dye until you get the desired color. Stir throughly.
  3. Add up to .5 oz fragrance per pound of soap base. Stir throughly.
  4. Snap the two pieces of the 3-D mold together tightly. Be sure that the pieces lock into place or the wax will spill from the sides of the mold. You may want to place a couple of rubber bands around the mold to keep the pieces of the mold together tightly.
  5. Allow the soap base to cool until you start to see a skim of soap on the top.
  6. Slowly pour the soap base into your mold.
  7. When the mold is filled, place the mold into the freezer. The soap will completely solidify in about 30 minutes in the freezer.
  8. Take the mold out of the freezer and carefully pull the pieces of the mold apart. You may need to press against the back side of the mold gently and the soap will fall out.
