Instructions

- Clean your lightbulb.
- Paint the entire bulb orange and allow to dry. You may need to repeat this step several times to get a nice bright orange.
- Next, i used my pencil to lightly draw in an outline for the leaf, eyes, nose and mouth. This helps me get things perfect before I actually go about painting them.
- Paint the screw part of the bulb green. and fill in the leaf. Once again you may need several coats. Allow this to dry.
- Paint in the eyes nose, mouth and pumpkin lines in black. For the very detailed work, you may want to use a toothpick loaded with paint. Allow this to dry.
- Use a little bit of white paint to fill in the whites of the eyes. Allow to dry.
- Finally, take a piece of raffia, hemp, or string to create a hanger for the ornament. Use another piece to tie a decorative bow.

Ashley i just want to say thank you. this is the first craft i have come across that has made a use out of burned out light bulbs! Monica I made 6 of these and even had a night light bulb blow out and painted it also for a smaller version of this. This is so easy and fun. I did all of them really fast. So easy. Thanks.
