Coffee Filter Basket

This project makes a great basket for mother's day or easter. Use any type of bead that you like in place of the clay beads we used. This is a great project for kids!

Supply List

  • 3 Coffee Filters
  • Beads (We used clay "hippy" beads.)
  • Embroidery Thread
  • Pipe Cleaner

Equipment

  • Needle

Instructions

  1. Place the coffee filters on top of one another.
  2. Thread the needle through each bump of the coffee filters, placing one bead in each little pocket. Continue adding beads until the basket is full and tie a knot to finish.
  3. Thread 5 beads onto the pipe cleaner. We used slightly larger clay beads for this.
  4. Attach the pipe cleaner to the sides of the coffee filter basket. You can twist the ends to secure the pipe cleaner in place.
  5. Fill the basket with goodies and this project makes a perfect gift.
