Lemon Poppy Seed Soap

These soaps will pleasantly remind you of the muffin of the same name. The poppy seeds add a gentle exfoliant.

Supply List
  • Clear Soap Base
  • Poppy Seeds
  • Yellow Dye (if desired)
  • Lemon Fragrance Oil
    •

    Equipment List
  • Double Boiler or microwave
  • Thermometer
  • Spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol
  • Soap mold

    • Instructions
    1. Follow the melting instructions for basic pour and melt soap.
    2. Once melted, add poppy seeds, dye, and fragrance and stir well.
      3. Remove from heat and continue gently stirring the mixture. Your soap will begin to cool and thicken. When the soap is quite thick pour into your mold. If you pour right away, the poppy seeds will settle to the bottom of the mold. Waiting longer, will let the seeds be suspended throughout the soap.
